SOS Program: COVID-19 Supports for STUDENTS
This winter, the counseling department presented the SOS (Signs of Suicide) Program to seventh and ninth grade classes at RMS and RHS. Since the COVID-19 school closures, the SOS program has released a number of helpful, social emotional resources to support students, parents, and teachers in their efforts to self-care and ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) when others are struggling during this difficult time.
ACT at Home Infographic for Students

This activity sheet reminds students how to use ACT in a stressful time, providing reminders of useful coping skills and ways to support friends at a distance.
Protective Factors Activity
This updated activity sheet reminds students of the importance of protective factors, especially in times of upheaval and stress, and provides an opportunity for them to brainstorm their own list of healthy coping strategies and ways to stay connected.
Weekly Wellness Challenge
This week-long challenge provides two ways each day for students to engage in self-care, reconnect with friends, and take care of their mental health.
